On Wednesday, April 6th , 2022, Sites & Cités organized a meeting that brought together partners from 7 countries (Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Romania, Northern Macedonia and Lebanon), participating in an association of communities active in the field of conservation and improving historic centers. Several areas of work have been identified for a joint project and a first meeting is planned in Veliko Tarnovo (Bulgaria). This meeting was made possible by the participation of the Bulgarian Aostkin Association, represented by Mr. Daniel Panov, Mayor of Veliko Tarnovo and his Deputy Mr. Neyko Genchev, the Croatian Association Hrvatska udruga povijesnih gradova HUPG, United Cities Lebanon / Technical Office of the Lebanese Cities , the remarkable Romanian network of the Centrul Cultural Clujean, the France-Central and Eastern Europe / IFECO Initiatives, the Albanian town of Elbasan and the Association of Historic Towns of Northern Macedonia and Les Plus Beaux Villages de France, with the interesting presentation of their initiative Les Plus Beaux Villages de la Terre.
